| Story This painting uses a tile format on a large sheet of watercolor paper. The goal was to work larger. The paper is divided into small 120 squares. It is a technique that I have been working on for a couple of years.The day that I went to visit the poppy reserve in the Antelope Valley and painted, it was windy, cool, and clear. Instead of painting outside, I parked my car to capture the view and painted inside the car. I stayed about 4 hours and was able to finish the painting. Usually it takes much longer for me to finish a painting, but I was inspired by the scene and worked quickly. This piece is one from my Tile Series ... |
